BUSINESS IN GEORGIA

Register as an individual entrepreneur in Georgia remotely

We register your individual entrepreneur business by power of attorney without a trip to Georgia. We prepare documents, provide a legal address, arrange a Georgian number and apply for small business status if your activity qualifies.

Back to services

How long will it take?

Estimated processing time: 5 days.

We agree the starting point after receiving the original power of attorney and complete information. Working days and the expected completion date are confirmed before processing. Delivery and additional authority checks may extend the overall timeframe. The small business decision is a separate stage.

What does €349 include?

The service costs €349 and includes:

  • Power of attorney wording and preparation instructions.
  • Translation of the power of attorney into Georgian.
  • Arranging a Georgian SIM card.
  • Registration documents and provision of a legal address.
  • Application and individual entrepreneur registration.
  • Application for small business status where the activity qualifies.

Notarisation abroad, any apostille or legalisation of the power of attorney and its delivery are agreed separately. We clarify the address term, SIM tariff and government fees before ordering. Bank account opening and ongoing accounting are not included.

Questions about remote registration

Can a foreigner register without travelling?

We offer registration through a representative with a notarised power of attorney. We check feasibility against your passport, status and activity. IE registration alone does not establish Georgian tax residency or grant a residence permit.

What powers must the document include?

The wording should cover registration representation, Revenue Service applications and SIM arrangements. We provide the agreed wording before your notary appointment. Apostille or legalisation requirements depend on the issuing country.

Does every activity qualify for small business status?

No. Certain activities and income types are excluded. We check your services and activity code before applying. The fee includes the application, not a guarantee of approval.

How do the 1% and 3% rates work?

The basic small business rate is 1% of taxable income within the regime. Generally, exceeding GEL 500,000 of economic activity income in a calendar year triggers 3% from the start of the month of exceedance to year end. Special thresholds apply to some categories and not all receipts qualify. Tax obligations in your country of residence need separate review.

When are returns and tax due?

Small business returns and payments are monthly, due by the 15th of the following month. Other obligations depend on activity, employees and tax status. Registration does not replace ongoing bookkeeping.

Is small business exempt from VAT?

No. VAT is assessed separately. The general mandatory registration threshold is over GEL 100,000 of VAT-taxable transactions in any consecutive 12 calendar months. Place-of-supply rules and exclusions matter; this is not simply total annual turnover.

Is a bank account included?

No. Banks and payment providers assess applicants and decide whether an account or remote opening is available. Residency, activity and documentation matter. Account approval is not guaranteed.

Can I use rs.ge remotely?

After registration we arrange tax account access and the Georgian number connection. Many applications and returns are online. SIM or eSIM format and activation are agreed beforehand; individual operations depend on the service requirements.

Does registration give me a right to work in Georgia?

Business registration and the right to work are separate. If you plan to live and work in Georgia, separately check the 2026 labour migration rules and applicable exemptions.

How does an IE differ from a company?

An individual entrepreneur operates as a natural person, not a separate legal entity. Business liabilities can affect personal assets. Choose the appropriate legal form before registering.
